SMALL GROUPS MATTER

Last evening in a very ancient but refurbished meeting hall in Harrison Mills BC twenty five people met to watch The Esoteric Agenda. Now if you do not know what this movie is about I would insist that you take two hours of your time to learn why the world is not working as it should. Why the best interest of We the People are not only being trod upon but why We The People are no longer needed, how corporations, elites and Governments seek a reduction of planet Earths population from six billion to five hundred million. Find out the insidious ways this is being brought about.

Last evening and well into the night a much larger group was meeting the new Republican led congress was carving up Americas welfare for corporate gains. The Republicans did a sixty Billion dollar slash and burn on some very necessary social programs huge cuts to Planned Parenthood, the Environmental protection authority, Health care funding, climate change and green jobs along with the watch dog Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. The one cut not on the agenda a thirty billion dollar subsidy to the major oil companies. How wrong is this?

In another part of America the people of Wisconsin are fighting to retain the collective bargaining rights they have had for over fifty years. I saw one protesters sign reading Egypt got democracy Wisconsin gets a dictator. Foment is spreading to other states as well as the people come to realize that the Republican platform of Jobs, jobs, jobs was just more bullshit and bravado to regain power, Republicans do not create they only destroy. Not until the middle class revolt will meaningful change ever come about. And remember this America if you are among the ninety eight percent and not a millionaire the Republicans don’t care about you.

The unfortunate portion of my evening was that because of time constraints I was not able to stay until the end I don’t know if there was a discussion that followed or just the mingling and interpersonal dialogue. But the important part as I see it is that even in this very small community twenty five people showed up to examine what’s wrong with this world. The word is out and this will help.

GO BACK TO THE LAND

It’s a sad commentary on technological advancement when that old saw makes so much more sense today. When genetically modified and genetically engineered crops go untested for human consumption, and are only tested for corporate profit that is sad. Monsanto is not the agriculturist’s friend. Monsanto should not be the world’s food supplier. But it is becoming that, its corporate influence and lobbying has paid off for the company bottom line. Not so much for consumers.
I am not here to vilify Monsanto but corporate chemical farming in general as the only way to feed the world, when old school techniques like manure spreaders and crop rotation are put back in play a more healthy product is the result. Organics has been beaten up badly and is almost a dirty word in the production of food. What would you rather eat a lettuce grown in the ground or grown hydroponicaly in a stew of chemicals under forced lighting.

My grandfather had a one hundred acre farm in rural Ontario. He had three sons and a market garden that consisted of five arable acres. He had a team of horses, he had cow, and a sow there were twenty four hens and rooster. He put his three sons through high school. Two of those sons signed up for WW2 the third went two a wool factory making military clothing. They scraped by in ways that we need to duplicate. They were all long lived and healthy. His techniques and methods can be duplicated today and improved upon without compromising the final product. His products were sold at market his grains were ground in a mill a neighbors boar bred his sow and another neighbors bull bred his cow. Piglets and milk production
are both saleable but there greatest worth is in using those products.
More practical advice for the average American would be to grow more of what you eat. Even a small cultivated patch of ground in you own back yard would be better for you than just about anything you can buy in the supermarket. It is not hard. If you have acreage then my Grandfathers trip will more than keep you. Another old saw is “you are what you eat” so eat what you grow. That would be healthy, and you would be in control not Monsanto.

HOSE ME! MUBARAK

When most Egyptians live on two dollars a day, this man has gone from the head of the air force, How well does that pay? To a net worth of seventy billion dollars. This can only be accomplished through corruption and greed there have not been any new pyramids built or any progress for the lower classes of people as seen in magnificent Egypt’s history. His dictatorship has been forwarding only for him.
If you actually cared about the progress and furtherance of the Egyptian people you would step aside now Mr. Mobarak. You sir have had your fifteen minutes of fame over a thirty year period. You are not going to be buried in the Valley of Kings you are not those kings equal you will be vilified as the dictator you are.
The richness and future of Egypt is not in it’s past but in it’s demand that it move forward in a democratic manner relieved from it’s dictatorial presence of your current regime.
America has other countries it can send prisoner to under extraordinary rendition it does not need Omar Suleiman, the CIA go to guy for enhanced interrogation procedures.
My hat is off to all the brave protesters gathering as one to denounce the past and trying to forge a more righteous future in the cradle of real civilization.

OBAMA WILL BE LOOKING FORWARD

In Tuesday Nights State of the Union address he will be looking forward. This is good as the country needs direction, jobs will probably be mentioned no fewer than twenty seven times. And bipartisan will get just about the same hit. There is no doubt in my mind that the Presidents ideas, proposals and programs will all be sound solutions to some of what ails America today. His way forward for the large part will be in the best interest of we the people, however compromise addressing the concerns of corporations will also be spun as necessary.

The best way forward for the country is not easy when your left foot administration is tracking the shit onto the house floor from the past administration. As long as you are looking forward you fail to see the truth and real justice so badly needed in America today.

In the present political climate I do not believe it possible for the Commander in Chief to scale back the Military Industrial Complex. It has not been possible since Ike. And this is the largest hindrance to America’s financial woes. JFK tried and look what happened.
On September 10th 2001 Donald Rumsefeld in a speech stated there was some two trillion dollars that the pentagon couldn’t account for. The very next day, “Bingo“. The attack on the pentagon successfully took out the computers and personnel that were addressing this anomaly in accounting.

Governor Jessie Ventura who in one episode of his TV show examines the story of an airplane hitting the pentagon. The story and answers he is getting are all obvious BS. So he goes to the pentagon to demand answers. He interviews a woman who was speaking on behalf of the 9/11 commission, at one point she asks the Governor what is you bottom line? His one word answers TRUTH.

Truth is it possible? As long as the past is taken at face value, covered up and not challenged what does the future have in store for us?

That’s correct all of these attributes to deity were given to HORUS 3000 BC in Egypt. And then there were others later on, but before Christ, ATTIS from Greece 1200 BC, MITHRA in Persia 1200 BC and KRISNA from INDIA 900 BC. All had the same attributes as Christ but came hundreds of years before him
Seems to me Jesus was a Jesus comes lately. Not as original or profound as we have been led to believe. Not original at all but plagiarized from 3000 years earlier in Egypt. The Bibles trinity of father, son, and Holy Spirit, is very misleading. The Essenes of Qumran authors of the Dead Sea scrolls as interpreted by Dr. Edmond Bordeaux Szekely have a world view that would be the Fatherhood of God, the Motherhood of Nature, and the Brotherhood of Man. Now that would be more in keeping with reality as I know it. A higher power unknown and not well described, there definitely is that power, and Mother Nature will have her way we can’t mess with her, but the Brotherhood of Man would accept all mankind not just believers of the Bible. Dr. Bordeaux once said if all the world religious leaders were together Buddha, Krishna, Jesus Mohammed they would agree on all points but put their followers together and they would disagree on all issues.
This is a great big well informed beautiful world we live in and it is time to take stock of the dynamics that move us. It is most appropriate that we examine the source of our existence and how we got here and what is keeping us from moving forward. Adherence to dogmatic faith because it is written is no longer acceptable we must all make our own choices based on what conscience allows and not some plagiarized manuscript from antiquity.
The world is a better place because of religion. It served its purpose and now it must evolve. The past is past, the present is but a moment, and the future is all there is.

WATCH OUT THE DEMOCRATIC CAVE MEN ARE COMING

If there is an extension of the tax cuts for the very rich, this will be a failure, Democrats cannot be cave men on this issue you must reframe the argument and argue it differently.
It is presently argued that the deficit will be cut by seven hundred billion dollars over ten years if these tax cuts for the very wealthy are allowed to sun set. Do that for two years, and reduce the deficit by seventy billion a year. It then depends on who wins the next election cycle as to whether or not these extra tax cuts get reinstated. That’s reframing the argument in the American Peoples best interests not the wealthy, they don’t need it.
Now let’s do some fuzzy liberal math. It didn’t get much applause but this last budget prepared by the Obama administration was one hundred and twenty two billion dollars less than the previous budget prepared by the Bush administration. Now if the next two budgets were to do the same that would be two hundred and forty four billion dollar deficit reduction. If you add in the sun set provision you are now up to three hundred and eighty billion, and you haven’t even looked at cutting the biggest budget in the universe, the military A hundred billion a year here would hardly be noticeable but it would be close on to six hundred billion in two years in deficit reduction.
I know that I can be challenged on the math and that is fair. But there is very little downside by holding tough on this tax cut issue. And as President Obama is so fond of saying, make no mistake about this. I say Social security reduction or privatization is off the table. This is a red herring.
One final thought and that is the Democrats must come out en masse and expose these disingenuous Republicans for their disregard for democracy and lack of governance skills and nip in the bud their quest for power or WE THE PEOPLE will be no more.

LET’S DROP SOME MORE DOCUMENTS

Let’s drop some more documents, on the conspiracy to assassinate a president and Warren commission cover up. Liberalism be damned, the CIA and huge Military Industrial Complex thought themselves more in tune with reality than the President of the United States. They knew the form of chain of command being civilian Commander in Chief and went ahead with a regime change anyway, they thought his policies with the Soviets soft, thus dooming American democracy. The world changed on that day.
Let’s drop some documents on the conspiracy and cover up of the events of 911. Not even the authors of that Commission and report believe that what they did was accurate or complete. Indeed most of the world at large look on and say WT F. It just pisses me off big time every time, I see someone in the know repeat the lies. We were led from that infamous event into two wars of aggression and millions of lost lives, for what? OIL, Dick Chaney’s oil company executives carving up the Middle East oilfields.
As President Obama looks forward America is trying to predicate the future based on lies. This will never work. I understand full well why the truth is not in his best interests, the same as JFK, even the most powerful man in the word was taken out. The machine is powerful aggressive and ruthless greed knows no bounds.
This is why we need more document leaks, The truth is out there, it needs to see the light of day the days of public corruption must come to an end. Prosecutions would be nice but I would settle for the public just seeing the lies exposed and those that and those that made them and never forget that if you want to solve a crime follow the money. And never forget that it was George W Bush and Dick Chaney who held the reigns of power on that day.

When was the last time as a politician you went to bed hungry? When was the last time you tossed and turned all night long worrying about how you would pay the electrical bill? I am not wrong when I quote Dick Chaney as saying “ Deficits don’t matter” they don’t matter when Republicans are making them they only matter when obstructionism and wanting the President to fail is the order of the day.
The American people have just made a serious blunder in allowing the Republicans access to the power of the house. However all is not lost the best is yet to come They must produce what it is we the People demand and that is jobs, jobs, jobs. It is evident all over everywhere that the Republicans only want he President to fail. The Republicans don’t give a rats ass in fifteen thousand years about you who are hurting, and on the dole. The corporate sponsors of their campaign are more important. They don’t want to govern they only want power. To reward the masters who keep them where they are

Don’t let the coming arguments be framed about deficit reduction and cutting entitlements like social security or Medicare smaller government is not the answer, smarter government is. Let the bush tax cuts sunset and if you can’t get the republicans to extend the cuts for those under two hundred and fifty thousand a year let them sunset as well. And let the Republicans be accused of not wanting to see the middle class prosper in favor of the 2% millionaire billionaire elite

One final thought here Mr. President these obstructionist asshat opposition party players will never play nice, so my advice is never give a sucker an even break don’t give an inch of ground. Parliamentary procedures are yours for the taking. Take them and save America that’s Your duty sir to get Americans working. All else pales in importance. Number one priority JOBS.

You can have more of these policys and poverty if you actually believe this spewed verbiage and vote for a tea party or republican candidate.
Like Humpty Dumpty the Democratic party candidates are the only ones who do care about putting the country back together again. The policys implemented by the Obama administration are all sound, and working, all of these polcys and programs have been compromised and down graded by Republican obstruction, while by- partisan politics was being attempted. They could all have been better. If the republicans had actually cared about you the people . America will be better after the Nov 2 election if you vote Democrat. Do you realy believe the health care reforms need to be repealed? No, then vote for the Democratic candidate. Do tou really believe the millionaires making more than two hundred and fifty thosand dollars a year cannot afford to pay an extra 3% on their tax burden. Then vote for the Democratic candidate.

The speech he made at the UN was fraught with some errors as to why and who. But part of it he got right. There had to have been some kind of domestic involvement in the pulling of those three buildings on that day. We all know they didn’t just fall down on their own from aircraft impact.
The whole 9/11 cover story is severally flawed and the Iranian President got it right when he said many people don’t believe it. When President Eisenhower was leaving office he admonished the world to be aware of the rising power of the military Industrial Complex. He coined the phrase and defined the problem that killed the next President.
Since the assassination of JFK on 11/22/63 you have been kept in the dark and fed horseshit. This is the recipe for growing mushrooms, not so good for growing a real democracy. As voters and citizens it is not possible to make informed decisions made on false information. Weapons of mass destruction in Iraq are an example. You were given false information, and you know it. Republican or Democrat is both sides of the same coin. Both beholding to large money interests, and a need to control the power. An extraordinarily high percentage of people do not believe the findings of the Warren commission. These same people questioned the Vietnam War and asked for truth and got Gulf of Tonkin lie and Kent State massacre instead.
If as an individual you say 9/11 was an inside job, an immediate label of conspiracy theorist is given you and your opinion is discredited by the corporate media, while facts and truth are discounted and not reported. To say the least the 9/11 commission was flawed and incomplete, it was a cover up. The MIC and corporate interests are the only source of information you will get, and they do not represent truth. The much consolidated main stream corporate media can afford to loose millions of dollars giving you only information that profits them and other big business interests.
I recently saw Sandra Day O’Conner being interviewed where she stated that students are no longer being taught civics and history in high school. This is course curriculum necessary for going forward as a nation not something to be dropped. Something that should be dropped is the text book advancement of intelligent design. Six thousand year old planet created in six days give me a break
The dumbing down of America is happening on several fronts politically education and mainstream media. It is now accepted that politicians just spew out any pejorative they wish. Socialist fascist communist Marxist it doesn’t matter what label you give, nobody knows what you are talking about and everyone knows that in America these are bad things. Credibility is given to these political hatchet men every time a newspaper or TV reporter becomes a stenographer rather than a fact checker. Restore the fairness doctrine and restore honesty. And while you are restoring things restore school funding to a point where students are actually equipped to find a job. That upon graduation they have knowledge of civics, history, math and science. And should they wish to further their education low cost student loans be provided not by the private sector but by government where profit is not the motive.

Remember back when George W had three people thrown out of a meeting for having an inappropriate bumper sticker, and a man was arrested for assault of dick the prick for putting a hand on his arm? Now we must put up with the Medias fawning over the biggest excuse for nothing, the corporate sponsored tea bag bowel movement. These cross threaded wing nuts are trying to convince you me and themselves that all things wrong with America is because of Obama and the Liberal takeover of big government. While completely ignoring the outright lies and wars and destruction of constitutional rights economic meltdown under the eight year rule of George the lesser.
Some of my biggest complaints about a dumbed down citizenry is focused on the vitriol of cross threaded wing nut Christian ministries. There is an unspoken legitimacy to religious teaching; the lay man believes what is being said about the word of God when his supposed teacher is a well educated minister, pastor or priest. However all too often these men go off the reservation by trying to be experts on matters outside the scope of religion. Rewriting history to make us believe America is a Christian nation is a cross threaded notion and the advancement of this idea will break both church and state.
I do not for one moment believe the people are dumb. But they are mislead at every level and if they believe all they see, read and hear from the corporate media we are in trouble. The corporate media is big business, churches are big business. All business has an agenda called profit, and this does not always co relate to the best interests of the people. These five Supreme Court Justices have just launched a hostile takeover of the election and campaign finance laws going back over one hundred years. The deck has been stacked and so has the Supreme Court to the disadvantage of the people. This ruling cannot be allowed to stand. Some say that this decision is intellectually dishonest; I say it is an impeachable offense.
. These five justices ruled on an issue not requested of them and not relevant to the case they heard, and did so in a manner destructive of long-standing precedent. That's an abuse of power. Treasonous, as foreign and international corporations have the financial resources to bribe, influence and control American elections. Was this their corporate agenda all along? And we were led to believe it was overturning Roe vs. Wade, how naïve.
Representative Alan Grayson has several bills already tabled in response to what he saw coming, get behind his effort as this man has vision and an ability to speak truth to power. The President has instructed staff to deal with this issue forcefully. I am sure he will as this is too important for the country to ignore.

There is no Constitutional mandate for just nine justices. Perhaps it is time to go to thirteen, not partisan judges, just smart and honest men and women!

When Not A Theory Conspiracy Is A Crime

When enough detail is known about an event one can assume that the theory should become fact. Since 11/22/63 assassination of JFK many details unreported at the time have now been made abundantly clear. The evidence has been examined, reexamined and added to. The players in the Warren commission examining the evidence have now been discredited to a degree, and the evidence itself questioned as being fabricated, magic bullet indeed. Herbert Walker Bush cannot remember where he was on that infamous day; he was photographed outside the school book depository. That photo should refresh his memory, and he was a part of the CIA.
A very large part of the American people does not accept the findings of the Warren Commission. I for one say this was a regime change, the removal of a socially inspired Presidency who wanted to curtail the MIC the CIA and reign in the Federal Reserve Bank. President Kennedy was a threat to these institutions this is not a theory these are the facts.
There are other facts from other events that must be examined and the theory part changed to criminal conspiracy. The most outrageous lie ever fostered on the world is that nineteen foreigners with box cutters took down four planes, three buildings and killed three thousand people. I cry foul, and state the world has been told a lie, a cover up and criminal conspiracy is at hand. The same players responsible for 11/22/63 were the MIC, CIA, Federal Reserve and helpful and complicit politicians; another Bush and puppet master Dick Chaney.
The evidence is so overwhelming as to boggle the mind and yet day in and day out the same tripe is trotted out by the corporate media. It’s not that they don’t know any better it’s in their best interests to act as stenographers and not mess with the machine that controls America. If the truth suffers so be it. If the American public is dumbed down that is what is needed for the conspirators to get away with their crimes and live the good elitist lives they deserve.
There is no shortage of evidence to suggest that 9/11 was an inside job. I am not going to make all of these points to verify my opinion, they are out there, you know my opinion is correct verify them for yourself and do what you can to convince the world these are not theory’s but crimes.
America is a country governed by the rule of law. When the law is not enforced equally between the powerful and the poor democracy has failed.
The United States of America the greatest nation on earth has been stolen, bankrupted, and reduced to a status never before known on the world stage. The American people did not commit these crimes they just allowed their leaders to lead them astray.
Now with some of the most divisive and vitriolic politics in history the losers of the last election spew lies beyond belief. The Republican Party has no credibility left whatsoever, but they do have money, power and corporate backing they are a force not to be denied. Never underestimate the enemy. The party is like a ship without a rudder, leaderless and, fractured what makes them dangerous is that they are desperate to regain control.
Trust but verify is probably the best thing Ronald Regan ever came up with and that is what must be done now, verify fact check and don’t let the losers frame the argument. The net roots is the best hope for progressives to frame the argument and put pressure where necessary, Eric Holder must be pressured enough that he do something positive about the conspiracy’s of the past administrations. It does not matter which way President Obama wants to look make him move in the direction he needs to go.
When the facts prove it conspiracy is a crime. The time to prosecute these criminals is now.

We are asked to accept on faith that which is unexplainable, Heaven, Hell, God and miracles, trickle down economic philosophy as well. Religion is big business very big. And must be treated as such, Lobbyists cannot be tax exempt.
For the large part the American people are smart enough to see past the blinders of absurdity this religion has become. America never was a Christian nation it was a mosaic of religious diversity. And now the American Taliban is trying to take over. Well let them try but first they must refute some of their most egregious claims.
In respect of the concept of intelligent design, I saw a five year old boy say that it was ridiculous to suggest the world was only six thousand years old. From GW Bush on down through his born again Christian base this is the bullshit being taught in some schools. This is not good for America.
The {C} street political adulterers would have you believe that they get a pass on adultery because Jesus only wants powerful people in his court. However the down side is it has taken twelve to fifteen million out of the community, money that would be spent for the large part right here at home. These are not organized crime enterprises but small operations serving a need. Is this good business? No this is just one more plank in the failing policies of Stephen Harpers Conservative government driving Canada backwards, by allowing fascism to flourish at a municipal level
Canada since the 1973 LeDain commission has been moving progressively towards the subject of harm reduction and decriminalization. Legalization would be the next logical move to fight the criminal aspect of prohibition. No mandatory sentencing for growing pot. There is no scientific evidence to support the many myths used by government to enact the kind of legislation proposed by Stephen Harper. He is taking a page from the American sentencing guidelines and that page is flawed. Last year America prosecuted over six hundred thousand citizens for simple possession alone. How sick is that? The party crashers Michele and Tareq Salahi need to be prosecuted. They knowingly went where they were not invited. The secret service is culpable in this intrusion and needs to set an example and most definitely correct the inadequacy that allowed this to happen.
I am not giving the SS a pass on this but I will say that this protection unit is overworked and under employed. With a reported four hundred percent increase in the threat level with this President there has not been the same increase in security for this man. The security service should not be covering their asses over this incident they should be employed covering the Presidents against the likes of radical right wing religious extremists. Who as Frank Schaeffer from Huffington Post when interviewed by Rachel Maddow stated “they are out there trolling for assassins“.
The religious right know no boundaries and as such step over the line on all issues they see as being mandated by God. Any attempt by these extremists to usurp the Administration and legislative process should be viewed with a practiced eye as to their method of demanding changes. This whole suggestion of praying for President Obama Psalm 108/9 needs severe scrutiny. There needs to be a push back from the secret service authority on this kind of overt threat.

Instead they think you should put off that effort until next year so you can have more time to prosecute the war. The Republicans will give you unanimous support for that. The people who elected you wanted change this is not a decision that they can believe in, this is more off the same.

Last evening I watched President Obama speaking in Tokyo he was very well received he has been well received every where he has ever gone. His policies and pronouncements indicate he is very much looking forward. You Mr. Holder should have his back and by that I mean be looking backward. You sir are the head of the Justice Department and as such have access to more information than I do, And I have access to more than enough information to indicate that the 9/11 commission was fatally flawed. It was a cover up plain and simple.

I can much appreciate that you would be scared shitless to go after the real conspirators, as only very powerful men could engineer such a monumental event, however you have no choice. The conviction and execution of these five men will not bring closure to this issue too many undeniable facts stand in the way. This trial will be a circus, you will not be the ring master but the clown. I urge you strongly Mr. Holder do not force the public to accept the 9/11 Commission as being the final answer. It is up to you to start investigating these undeniable facts.

Their misguided political bent is to the corporate destruction of all things regulated by government. They believe that the poor are poor because of disobedience to God, and that they are all powerful because they are chosen by God. How sick is this?

Will Jesus ever trickle down to we the people again or is this profoundly arrogant organization going to control the message. I am not a big fan of the current forms of Christianity and the way it is promoted. It is troubling to see and hear so many different variations of unquestionable truth. It is more than troubling to see former political hopefuls like Palin attempting to expel the witches among us through the New Apostolic Revolution. The greater the organization of these movements the weirder they become.

To my mind the greatest work of fiction ever written is the Bible. Remember Jesus wrote nothing, the Bible was composed by scribes two to three hundred years after the event. But if you are looking for wisdom solace or comfort you will find it. Trust that by reading you will get what you need, it is not necessary to ask anyone for clarification. Unless this flag was run up the pole by say a man who had just won the Nobel Peace prize and was actually seen by the world at large to be genuine in his desire to make peace not war.
President Obama did not start this war. This was a gift from the previous administration, you do remember the Bush Chaney Rumsfeld cabal of oil industry war mongers. Iraq was about oil, Afghanistan Pakistan oil pipeline. Same old story same tail trying to wag a different dog. Aided and abetted by two Bush presidencies both of which were corrupt and criminal in their background history and secret society affiliations, Americas greatness was in decline Americas prestige as world leader was now seen for what it had become. A nation being built on lies a nation that needs war to fuel it’s economy will never run out of enemies.
The tragedy of 9/11 was not that nineteen Saudis with box cutters took down the twin towers, the tragedy is that a lot of Americans subscribe to this lie. Most of the world knows better. There are two big lies that must be exposed, and both include the Bush family. Herbert walker Bush was in the CIA and in Dallas when JFK was assassinated. My fellow Americans since coming to office in January of this year we as a party have tried a bipartisan approach to problem solving. The Republicans have not responded to any attempts of bipartisanship and have just consistently said NO. It would seem that the opposition is more determined to take me down than lift the country up and move it forward.

With that thought in mind I propose to eliminate the public option and move directly to a single payer system. Every man woman and child in America is now covered. The death panels imposed by insurance companies are now history. The Republican party with its all politics all the time persuasion is now history.
The American people don’t give a good god damn about politics they want relief. And they want the ability to too be productive they want and will get care. It has come to the point where this government must lead and take charge. This administration will not bend over backwards to any lobby at the expense of second best.

There is no greater force than an idea whose time has come.

SARAH-- DOBSON--PRAYER and POLITICS

At last Fridays press announcement something that struck me was Sarah’s pronouncement of faith then family in her order of what is important. Much has already been made of just what in Gods name she is doing. Speculation ranges from impending criminal charges to tell all books by Levi Johnston and the parenthood of Trig.

It is now time for my take on what Sarah is doing .Sarah is a prayer warrior and part of the New Apostolic Reformation. This movement is attempting to overtake government, and increase membership by recruiting from the more orthodox forms of Christianity. To say the least this movement is on the fringe of absurdity. But that doesn’t stop it from growing. Prayer warriors take credit for expelling the witches among us, the death Mother Theresa, and removal of the blockage on mount Everest that kept Catholic and Muslim prayer from reaching heaven.

Last October Sarah was on James Dobson’s radio show where she thanked prayer warriors for their help. And now Dobson wants to step down from his Focus on the Family. Is Sarah going to step up to the plate? Will she try to bring together the ten million Christian voters into the circle of her political ambition? This certainly would be a higher calling.

A TRUE CANADIAN HEALTH CARE STORY

As America wrestles with Health Care reform and the mind boggling assortment of lies distortions half truths, promises denials and lobbying efforts by big business interests. Let me be clear America deserves nothing less than a Public Option health care system. America does not need insurance it needs a Government that cares about the health of its citizens

In Feb 1972 our first child was born. A boy healthy at first but when he was six weeks old he started projectile vomiting and unable to keep down milk. Diagnoses and emergency surgery indication pyloric stenosis a muscle surrounding the bowel is cutting off the flow. He is as healthy as a horse and 37 years old. After having received emergency surgery.

July 1973 boy number two was born. No problems till he started experiencing ear aches and specialist treatments were required. He grew out of the problems he had and except from a broken arm at gym class and multiple road rashes from skate boarding. Look at him now.

December 1976 darling daughter made it here kicking and screaming and changing lives forever. All was well until she was two and a half and got meningitis. Because our system works as well as it does she was diagnosed and on treatment within two hours of seeing a Dr. She was twenty one days in hospital and recovered fully

The total cost to my family for all the above birth, surgery, and critical care eighty dollars for ambulance service getting daughter to children’s hospital.
I can’t even begin to describe all the myriad issues around the growing years, but the cost of health care was never a real issue. The cost was contained it was affordable and universal when ever a Dr. ordered a test or procedure it was done without cost, and as much haste as emergency required

On Feb 14 1996 breast cancer demanded my wife have a radical mastectomy, chemo therapy followed along with radiation. This trilogy Wendy tagged as hack, poison, and burn. An apt description, but it did save her life. And instead of bankrupting this family it cost us nothing beyond our health care premium.

America is poised to make the most significant change it will ever make. This change will not only heal the sick it will empower the Nation. When the middle class and poorest people in the nation are no longer threatened with financial ruin by being sick or in need of critical care imagine the possibilities. When business is no longer hampered with high cost insurance and has a choice with a program that won’t cripple them then small business will flourish.

On Wednesday evening President Obama will speak to the nation on this subject listen to him and disregard the naysayer’s disregard the insurance lobby and blue dogs and republicans in the pocket of big business. Listen to the President get his back and push him in the direction he wants to go. This is the single most important reform issue in America today. Make it happen!

The major corporations have run America long enough. This is the single most important issue in America today. Corporations do determine who lives and who dies. The medical insurance concept is fatally flawed. I sure hope these insurance companies had insurance for what is about to happen next.

REVOLUTION must come in some form of public option. REVOLUTION must come from the people demanding this of the politicians they elected. If a politician wishes to display corporate allegiance, over constituents needs, deal with him in a democratic manner. If a politician wishes to display allegiance to constituents need before corporate benefactors, applaud them loudly. Above all America get involved make a noise about this issue. CORPORATIONS have no conscience. The government is responsible “To We the People” Trust but verify at the polls.

I am Canadian. I have a Personal Care Card good anywhere in Canada. This card is part of my national ID good for national voting requirements, my plan is compulsory as I live in this country. No one in Canada is refused treatment or denied access to medical needs for any reason. My coverage does not include optometry or dental but I can live with that. My prescription drugs are not covered either but remember Americans were buying drugs up here online at a very much reduced rate. The Pharmaceutical companies can sell drugs for less and still make money

On Sunday morning I was not watching CNN, but it was on, I saw John King sitting in a diner interviewing some people on this issue of reform. One woman there stated she paid fifteen hundred dollars a month for insurance. That is incomprehensible to me. Eighteen thousand dollars a year involuntary whoreism, somebody getting rich someone getting screwed.

It is being reported today at www.alternet.org. That one hundred and nineteen million who have health insurance would switch to a public option if you couple that with the forty million people who don’t have insurance then half of America will welcomes this REVOLUTION.

The fallout from the HEALTH CARE Revolution will sew the seeds of social reform for years to come imagine a reduction in cost from fifteen hundred dollars a month fifty four dollars a month Canadian? When the murder of Dr. Tiller who I never heard of until today, becomes the target of domestic terrorism from the religious community and their misguided principals over an issue of settled law and common sense. I say the gloves are off for any and all that condone this form of violence. The so called religious community is more in keeping with radical extremism than any religion I know.

When did the Christians first become so militant? That murder in the name of God was necessary was the word of God flawed? I have been rather forward in my criticisms of America of late so at this time I would like to take a page from Bill Clintons book and state “ there is more right with America than what is wrong “. I say America is not a melting pot it is a mosaic. It is a work in progress. The best is yet to come.

The next SCOTUS appointment is going to go to critical mass, with America’s ability separate the secular necessity of governance from the demands of a very vocal and narrow religious minority. America is not a Christian Nation. It is a nation of Agnostics, Atheists, Muslims, Jews, Native American, and all others that I do not slight by omission.

With these thoughts in mind ignore the Evangelicals ignore the Catholic Bishops in trying to influence settled law in America ignore their influence in all matters scientific. Religious views hold no credibility, in politics, and any political party that jumps on their bandwagon deserves to be ignored as well

The next appointment to the Supreme court will be the litmus test to what President Obama has called “empathy“. The next appointment will not be required to follow the dictates of unitary executive privilege, but conscience and common sense will be prerequisites. As well as adherence to the constitution and the rule of law.

In Canada we call it the loyal opposition in America the opposition is less loyal to the common good and much more up front its loyalty to party politics and lobbyist demands and in the case of Republicans loyalty, to the demands of the religious right. You can bet your bottom dollar they will attempt to derail any and all nominations for reasons of absurdity. Do Not Let Them.

The person President Obama puts forward will not be another Harriet Myers, no plant to extend his personal agenda, the nominee will be a qualified person able to view the nation and the people’s best interests and act on those interests with impartiality and reason.

In British Columbia today is Election Day. We voted by marking an X beside our candidate of choice on a paper ballot. By tonight late we will know which party will form the new government. There is a paper trail and no Norm Coleman bullshit shenanigans will be allowed. This is good.

Last on my list of shout outs today is MadAsHellLiberal KS who wants to change the fact that countless millions of Americans are without health care. KS has urged me to speak again about Canada’s system and its ability to cover every citizen from cradle to grave. The poor will always be among us so let’s start there. I am starting to see more and more homeless and down and out all the time when these people are in distress on the street an ambulance will pick them up and they are given the same treatment as any one else. They probably aren’t paying premiums but the social issues, and medical ethics of cause no harm far outweigh the financial burden imposed
Every Canadian citizen is more or less obliged to have a Care Card, I can already hear the howls of protest from the conservative elements as to how socialist and big brother like that would be in America. It is neither it is common sense and necessary for both billing and medical history. You are already part of a very large data base for less noble reasons. The ten provinces in Canada are all funded to a degree by the Federal government in a form and format beyond this bloggers ability to understand. And YES our TAXES are higher than yours in order to pay for all we have. Now follow me here because I may be wrong but aren’t your health Insurance costs upward to one thousand dollars a month for a family? My personal cost is $54.00/mth a family of ten $540.00/ month. About half what you pay now can your taxes go up and you still be better off? Short answer yes. Don’t bank on the figures for cost as I have laid out because when I don’t know I just make it up.
This I do know our system is not perfect but it is a work in progress and you would be well advised to make your elected officials settle for nothing less than a hard look north of the border at something that does work. GOOD LUCK

I never thought I would ever say the Republicans have this right. If this is their talking point if this is their message it parallels mine. I am a Canadian and with the single payer system we have in Canada that is the case. The system America has with insurance companies, accountants and lawyers do come in between Dr. and patient to rule on the fine print of those insurance policies.
With my single payer Canadian plan if my Dr. Wants tests I get tests, if he says in the Hospital now, I am in. The point I make is this, when it comes to health care the Dr.’s make the decisions not bureaucrats not lawyers or accountants.
Don’t let the Republicans frame the message of government coming between patient and Dr. It won’t happen. The very thing that is wrong with the health insurance industry is wrong now. The profit component is what puts cost out of reach of millions of Americans. The public option must not be denied. This is not business as usual but the unusual business of common sense and putting people before corporate interests.

If ever there was a politician to whom term limits should apply it would be Senator Arlen Specter. This man launched his career on the most egregious lie ever told to the American people. The magic bullet that killed JFK. It was Arlen Specter who argued his absurd theory to hide the truth of 11/22/63. It was his theory that kept a conspiracy out of the investigation. That day in Dallas was the day truth ended.
And now Senator Specter is in political trouble and his only hope for survival is to switch parties, admittedly he was once a Democrat and is now being welcomed into the fold again as the 60th vote needed for a filibuster proof senate. I say use him; get his vote wherever you can. Abuse him by forcing his vote when reluctant to embrace party lines, and then loose him when a real Democrat comes up against him in the primaries.
This man is a self serving political hack and deserves no real place in a Government dedicated to truth and change in Washington he would be an embarrassment. Senator Specter is now seventy nine years old and has cancer. How much energy and support for re election should be given him? None by my estimation,
This man should go quietly into retirement, write a book and tell the truth about the JFK cover up. Nothing this man ever did in his career comes close to being as important as that initial lie.

I know the American people like to jest about Canadians and the great white north. And on a lot of issues they are correct and we laugh with you. As a Canadian we get a few laughs from other than Jay Leno. But humor aside HEALTH REFORM in your country is no laughing matter.
This is the single most important way of correcting the economic crisis facing America today. If done properly. The lobbyists are going into overtime in trying to maintain the status quo. But remember they are health insurance and not health care, ‘they don’t care’ they insure. They insure a profit for themselves at the cost of a loss to you. They will not go away nor should they; they should have to compete with a new mandatory individual government run single payer plan.
Look north friends and see a health care system that if you copied would drive the economy. I am single and pay fifty four dollars a month. I am covered for all Dr. Visits, all tests, hospital stays, surgery. Not covered for drugs, but a means test means I pay less. Not covered for dental or optometry, but I can LIVE with that.
There is no one in Canada denied treatment for a preexisting disease and no one dies for lack of treatment, or because their insurance ran out. Medical ethics. And common sense, the moral issue of all people being equal under the health care system sets this country apart.
Catastrophic medical emergency will thrust thousands in America into bankruptcy, I have seen family insurance costs at anywhere between seven and twelve thousand dollars per year. If this is accurate, compare the fifty four dollar per individual cost in Canada and see the saving when the profit motive is taken away. The savings aren’t just in money but in the peace of mind knowing that the system cares. You are relieved of one of the most troubling burdens you have had up till now. The cash in your pocket is much more dynamic than that same cash going to insurance company profit.
You have one big chance to make this happen President Obama has made overtures to making health care a filibuster proof vote, so get you fingers working through the net roots and demand your elected officials enact GOVERNMENT RUN SINGLE PAYER HEALTH CARE. And when you get it we will all laugh at the Republican Party who just doesn’t get it.
Get the Presidents back and make him go the whole nine yards.

Forgive me if I am wrong but Somalia is an impoverished nation is it not? Today in Washington General Petrais suggested that ships traveling the area have armed guards. Now that would be military mans response.
Did you know that this impoverished country has had European biological waste wash up on its shores? Did you know that people were getting sick because of it? Were you aware of the fact that the fisheries this country has always depended on are gone?
Somalia has the right to monitor the passage of ships through waters that affect her. PIRACY is not the way. The knee jerk media response to these acts certainly attract viewers but do not inform them about why piracy is needed, Somalia is a cry for help
I don’t know where pirate money goes, but if it were to go to the public coffers I would suggest a government sponsored safe passage tariff to get through this troubled areas waters.
A fee is not inappropriate considering the alternative cost of a retinue of armed guards, or interrupted journeys and huge ransoms. And diplomatically while we are engaging with Somalia perhaps help could be given in finding out just who in the hell is responsible for the toxic waste dumping.
A more compassionate response must be available from America than military might, warships, and snipers I would hope that as we read this someone is working diplomatically for a solution.

The net roots are pushing and it is being felt. President Obama is being pushed in the direction he knows he needs to go. He wants we the people to make him go in that direction. Some bloggers are saying they think of him as being very cagey to create the impression that he is forced to investigate the torturers. President Obama has not made any mistakes and he is making headway.
I think under the circumstances of what was most crucial to taking the reigns of governance the fact that he has made these statements of intent on torture in his first one hundred days in office speaks to the importance he places on the rule of law. The presidents overtures to bipartisanship indicates this is not a witch hunt and that he personally is not playing politics with this issue. The ball is in Holders court let him deal with it in a PROPER fashion and a timely one
Keep the pressure on Eric holder for a special prosecutor, no more commissions 9/11 was a commission and there was no truth and no prosecutions. A special prosecutor and keep the house and senate inquiries to a minimum this should not be a political issue it is a legal issue Now more than ever in the past the truth must be told. This subject on the authorization of torture is not an in house America first issue, this an international criminal court issue. The world is watching this must be done right.

In his latest novel David Balldacci spins a very plausible scenario involving the manipulation of print journalism and the media. Of course it is an arms contractor all part of the Military Industrial complex, and in the end bloggers save the day. I must say I thoroughly enjoyed the read.
It wasn’t until the book was finished and I was reading the author’s note that I flashed on the horror of what the book had described as PERCEPTION MANAGEMENT. Up until this reading I was not aware of this term, Baldacci gives a definition that becomes familiar and chilling at the same time.
Perception Management is a term defined in Dept of Defense manuals and taken seriously. Public relations firms that practice PM are not spin doctors they create the big lie they create the truth and sell it to the world as the truth.
This concept is not new and in doing a simple Wikipedia check came up with more information than I personally want to try and digest. However it seems the CIA has been actively engaged in dispensing lies about events in America for along time. The murder of JFK is one example. I found this item by Preston Peet[ptpeet@ca.com]. One CIA document from April 1967 released under FOIA advised due to growing disbelief in the Warren Commission conclusions that Oswald was the lone assassin. Certain steps should be taken to provide material for countering and discrediting the claims of conspiracy theorists. Employ propaganda assets to answer and refute attacks of critics. Book reviews and feature articles are particularly appropriate for this purpose.

Will Rogers is reported to have said about politicians “by the time they get to Washington they forget who the hired hand is” Your politicians aren’t listening to you. You wanted an end to the Iraq war, you wanted impeachment you wanted the truth about 9/11, and most importantly you wanted change, that you got. Now where is it?
The Iraq war is winding down or at least the administrations views and wishes are being worked on. It can safely be said that impeachment is off the table .However Mr. Holder is coming to dinner and the table talk will center on appointing a special prosecutor. Now keep up the pressure, but don’t hold your breath on 9/11 this is not the final word.
A Special Prosecutor is so necessary in these incredible times as the people see torturers not even being investigated abuses against civil liberties no investigation, illegal wiretaps justice dept wrongdoings the list goes on and on. No Investigation no Prosecution No Justice No Change at the rarefied higher levels of politics.
Marijuana users are appearing in a court house near you as I write this. How wrong is that? A victimless crime does time, Politicians get a free ride on being accountable and then they get a pension. Users get a record. Your tax dollars are being spent on keeping you under control, and in jail and in the poor house. All at the same time.

So why are print papers failing? Could it be they don’t report the news and don’t work worth shit for carrying water? Now that newspapers and TV and radio are so intertwined, maybe the printed paper should go the way of the future. That would be good for the environment, but bad for wrapping fish. The water carrying heavy lifting media will be TV, it’s sexier and sex sells. The corporate media has a very ripe environment with the openness of the current administration. No slow news days. The problem lies in the fact that the public gets to see the true message as spoken by the President, and he is open and enticing in his argument. The corporate message is only spin.
Notice how the mainstream press was excluded from questions during an historic press conference? Notice the slap in the head Ed Henry got? Notice the buckets being carried by the likes of John King And Mr. Independent Lou Dobbs? America is being short changed by watching CNN, Fox and all the other networks, if they think they are getting the news.
Notice the point of greatest importance The internet and independent Bloggers this is where the real news can be found you can access British ,Australian , Arabic or most of the worlds most respected news agencies. Cheaper than purchasing one newspaper .Then you get the news.
Notice as well that this is where President Obama brought together millions of Americans and enough millions of dollars ten, twenty, fifty bucks at a time to defeat the absurdly rich Republican election machine. We the people have a voice and it is here in the blogessphere we the people have a research tool at our fingertips that can help us separate the bullshit from the buckwheat.

On Marijuana His Answer was Correct The Question was Wrong

It won’t save the economy or stimulate it. But the social issue of harm reduction philosophy is something perhaps the President would explore. You weren’t blown off Green Machine your question just wasn’t framed in a way that would allow the President to come aboard.
How about this, Mr. President would you advocate the growing of hemp as a way to again establish a known valuable product line to the flagging agricultural sector? This product alone deserves to be put back in service as it has been removed for no good reason. That being said Sir Hemp can stimulate the economy. It can’t stimulate man.
From a social viewpoint the legalization of marijuana would eliminate the arrest of about eight hundred thousand Americans annually. It would eliminate the needless incarceration of hundreds of thousands of victimless crimes. Surely all sections of the legal community are overworked, police officers who are forced to deal with possession are not dealing with much more pressing police matters. The court system should not be wasting it’s time and public money on these prosecutions. Most importantly the stigma of arrest and criminal record would no longer impede the employment of otherwise normal hard working Americans. This green plant is not going to go away it is going to be an issue you, Sir are going to have to deal with it. Now get back to saving the economy and think about how you could spend very little and save whole lot more!! Making seventy million Americans happy at the same time.

This would obviously qualify Mr. Reagan to become President of the United States of America, and reinvent the concept of building by some trickling down theory, man this guy is good like a god. Not unlike his movie we all became his monkey. We the people were subjected to some very perverted economics, while those the very rich did very good.
Well that was then and this is now, the old order changes On Nov. 4th 2008 a new era in honesty came into existence. The sins of our fathers are behind us. But we will know what those sins are and follow them to the end of the rule of law, there is no choice. Or all else fails. It is also time to put to bed Republican Bonzo economics!!
The incoming President worked hard from the bottom up to the top The outgoing President was some kind of trickle down leftover from former failed administrations. This is now the time to BE BOLD, economically socially and politically. After sixty some odd days in office this man has attempted to save our working asses from the greed and failure of the past he has with good humor accepted the politics of no, and worked around it. He has taken charge and met with constant criticism. He has plans ideas solutions and can admit that he makes mistakes, in other words this man is human, unlike the last guy who talked with god. This man talks to the people.
Last night President Obama talked to the people, he was demeaned for using a teleprompter. Oh yes, that was for the portion of his speech where he had a specific message to give perfectly, he did that and then did something seldom seen in Washington he answered questions ad hoc for the world to see. Further fleshing out the complexities of his tasks at hand. The most pressing of which is to get the nation working again and see that every American has Cheney Health Care.
Do not accept the message seen on cable news networks; accept only the words you see from the man himself he speaks to us daily. And speaks truth to the masses, get his back help him from the bottom the net roots up. The old order of corporatism privilege and greed is not going away easily it will be politics as usual. We all know what his job is and that is be our President our job is to be his assistant. So let’s assist, and rebuild this baby from the bottom up!!

Rachel Maddow, Jonathan Turley, Keith Olberman these people are not distracted by the look over here AIG meltdown and airwaves consuming fiasco. No these folks are staying on message of malfeasance and torture, by the former administration.
When listening to Jonathan Turley You see just how simple the argument he makes is, it is not some complex legality figured out only by a Philadelphia lawyer, it is the simple rule of law. The memos are out there as are the admissions by Dick and George. They broke the law not just American law but International law as well.
As I have posted before on this site no more commissions, now is the time for a special prosecutor. Then and only then will the American people be satisfied that the rule of law works at all levels and confronts all crime. There was a very large portion of the population that during the former administration called for the impeachment of the President and Vice President this call was never met but was indeed warranted. Justice can never be served until it is confronted and charges laid and met. The people need to see these men get their day in court
Keith Olberman again is on topic discussing the revelations by Seymour Hersh of an assassination squad reporting directly to Dick Cheney. I know that these are unsubstantiated allegations by Mr. Hersh however he does seem to put out there a good deal of evidence as to who operated this command.
Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich has a suggestion that might get the ball rolling. Kucinich has asked New York Congressman Edolphus Towns, the chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee, to begin an immediate investigation into Hersh's allegations.
For the life of me I can’t see why all of the known, knowns and unknown unknowns shouldn’t be investigated by a special prosecutor, and soon!!

George Galloway wanted to speak to the subject of Afghanistan and troops dying in a war we can not win. Many Canadians have issues with the way our government is prosecuting this military effort and what our final goals are. This mans opinion cannot be heard.
Now George W Bush on the other hand who was subject to a good deal of lobbying by Lawyers against the War, and because of his admitted use of torture does not conform to Canadian standards for entry, was allowed in. He wasn’t given a heroes welcome by the Canadian people only by the fifteen hundred oil barons in Calgary. The shoe throwing crowds outside said it all. They spoke for me.

THE BIGGEST BONUS OF THE PAST WEEK

The first day of spring my daughter demanded that we clean up the Tango and Daddy’s digs. Last June my wife of forty years died, we have all gone through the grieving process, and the remembering. We have come to grips with a new reality, but we hadn’t come to cleaning. Well now we have.
This past week has seen a flurry of activity to reclaim this place from us to me. My wife during her last few years got her daily exercise by touring all the local thrift stores and taking comfort in being able to clothe kids, grand kids, her and I with quality clothing and footwear for next to nothing. She could recognize quality from a distance so it was all good stuff and lots of it.
Back in January and after the party season gave way I invited all the family women to come one Sunday for Sushi and shopping Sake just made it a hoot. These ladies all have something in common and that is how to cherry pick the good gear and they did. Lots of this stuff was gone but most remained. This past few weeks darling daughter went through it all and labeled thirty industrial sized garbage bags.
I know that this same story has and is repeated widely throughout the country but it is a first for me. This booty was given over people who are trying their hardest to do harm reduction at the street level in Abbotsford BC a Bible belt community that does not support them. These people support a needle exchange program and attempts to help from the bottom up; they are not funded by anyone except a lawyer who has worked his entire career towards the philosophy of harm reduction.
Well the upshot of this post is spring has sprung; I have a very clean house. I have a brand new bigger blogger control center that used to be the lady’s bedroom and a future that can never forget her; I just didn’t need all that stuff to remember!

A three or four man team arrives at your door and presents you with a notice that they will be back in 24 hrs to look for a possible public safety hazard. This public safety hazard is extremely ambiguous and based on excessive electrical consumption only
In they come and intrusiveness does not describe what they do here CSI step aside for these people do not deal in science, theirs is the art of intimidation a Police car in front of your house Inspectors all over your premise and the undisputable finding that you were growing marijuana in this house. They found a roach they found a leaf they found a hole in the ceiling or they found a hook that hangs lights they always find something as there job depends on it. You are given a copy of their finding, and the total punitive demands needed to remedy this public safety hazard. Purging of water system elimination of molds fungi, carpet and drapery cleaning and certification by a qualified electrician that this premise is safe to inhabit. All these demands are purely arbitrary and not based in science but based on the need to find you guilty and impose a FIVE THOUSAND DOLLAR FINE.
What these fine civil servants are actually doing is showing the growers how to stay below the radar of being fingered by big brother BC Hydro and that if you are actually stealing power you probably won’t get caught. This is a cash cow this has become a revenue enhancement you could call it a shovel ready money maker for municipalities. I call it a super soft bust you don’t go to jail and you do learn how fascism grows in your own community. GUILTY WITHOUT BEING CHARGED OR HEARD IN A COURT OF LAW. Unpaid fines go on your taxes at the end of the year. One way or the other you will pay!

Everything he ever said or did was calculated to further his power and that of the Military Industrial Complex. WE the people is not a Republican mantra it is not even a consideration. If you are not Republican why would you ever want to see this man in anything but a prison orange jumpsuit? Certainly not in prime time TV and not framing the future and commenting on the worth of the new Presidents policies and agenda. You sir are the biggest failure to ever hit politics. You Sir are not worth being interviewed anywhere except The Hague.

It is ironic that governments around the world have tried in vain to suppress this noble herb. It is just a green plant and because of its possession you are guilty of a criminal offence. Now how stupid is that? This plant has been used for five thousand years but in the nineteen thirties was made a controlled substance. Now the fun begins busting people for simply possessing this plant. According to Allen St. Pierre, executive director of the National Organization for Reform of Marijuana Laws (NORML), over 8 million Americans have been arrested on marijuana charges during the past decade, while arrests for cocaine and heroine have declined sharply.
Now just in this past week alone two states Oregon and California are bringing forth legislation to legalize and tax this product, as a method to stem the financial crisis in these states. California is proposing $98.00 an ounce tax while Oregon is proposing a tax of $50.00 an ounce. No matter how you cut the mustard that amounts to a huge cash cow, a huge influx into the public resources.
The greatest benefit however comes in the social form, escape from criminal arrest, prosecution and incarceration. This saving alone is more important than revenue enhancement. The Noble herbs time has come No longer is DEA and every police dept freed up from having to deal with this issue and will be able to spend their time at much more pressing problems the seventy million people who recreationally use this plant are relieved of a stigma associated with dope. This could be a win win situation lets see where it goes lets hear the arguments.

The Coleman vs. Franken debacle may soon draw down. Al Franken has kept his humor against the enormous machine of Republican dirty tricks. Talk about gaming the system. The legal costs alone to perpetuate the allusion of Norm winning are mind boggling but if the Republicans have one thing it is money and their ability to raise it. The fact that Norm holds on in the face of farce is that he has been told to do it and the Republicans do reward their own. GOOD NEW JOB FOR NORM.
Coleman's supporters on the national level have been more concerned with counting votes in the U.S. Senate than with counting absentee ballots in Minnesota, and that concern shows up in Coleman‘s legal arguments.
Something I could never quite get behind is the gaming of the court system. I can’t quite afford the legal fees but to Republicans legal fees and financing them, come before food in the budget, and how business is done. “If you can’t dazzle them with your brilliance baffle them with your bullshit and throw in a lawyer, or in Norms case the ex Presidents lawyer.
When this finally comes to an end a new election, for which Coleman is increasingly angling, would cost $3.5-5 million. No do over please. This whole episode has just been a scam, but does prove the need for serious election reform.
So to sum up this incredibly conflicted voting process Norm Coleman who didn’t want a re election back in November now wants one. The Franken camp will rest its case tomorrow, and there is either a light at the end of the tunnel or a freight train coming. But one way or the other Al Franken still has his humor!

This morning President Obama overrides the ideology that has precluded this important advancement of scientific inquiry. The ban on stem cell research has been the ridiculous notion of the same religious community that attempts to force us to believe the world is only ten thousand years old, and the result of intelligent design.
Some of the most egregious perspectives of the religious community were never valid and are going to be challenged on the political level. With the understanding that humans with afflictions potentially aided by this research are more important than the contents of a Petri dish America moves forward Religion steps back.
The moral objections outlined by opponents to this research are flawed. The church will allow that the creation of life can be performed clinically and not in the Biblical sense of sexual reproduction. It is then ok to destroy the unused embryos but not use them to save life. How profoundly backwards organized Religion asks us to go. How profoundly stupid the politicians that pander to the base that espouse these views. How profoundly important to the future of mankind the steps taken this morning. Thank you Mr. President for coming up to bat for all mankind and not just those who think themselves morally and religiously superior for they are not!

But he can be pressed.
Now I am wondering about how much coaching he has had with Harriet Myers are they on the same page or will they have conflicts resulting in perjury issues. The games are beginning and Karl Roves arrogance reflects the fact that he thinks he is still in charge and control.
Something that I keep reading on a daily basis is that we must correct the mistakes made in the last administration. 9/11 no one believes this commission worked properly or believes its findings. I am fully aware of the lies that led to war I am fully aware of the corruption of the Justice Department and political prosecutions. That being said lets get on with an accountability moment for those responsible.
You cannot in one sentence say that we are a nation of laws and in the next say I am more inclined to look forward rather than back. One person in every thirty one is in jail in America more marijuana users who hurt no one, than corrupt politicians that hurt every one. This is a most absurd notion of justice. The gasbagery bullshit that came forth from the Republican soiree this past weekend and the non stop, CNN Steele apologizes to Limbaugh, to me means the right is still framing the argument, don’t let them.
The greatest point I am attempting to make is this justice prevails at the low end of the scale but becomes very allusive higher up. The low life goes to jail but the privileged elite do so much more damage and get a pass. A special prosecutor now it won’t take long or cost much as the evidence is in hand, some of it has already been displayed in the form of nine memos released by the justice dept. and more are on the way. This whole charade of past administration malfeasance must become the actual history of events and not some kind of revisionist bullshit fit only for GW Bush Presidential library
Let history show a past President was convicted along with his vice and other senior staff and advisors for wrong doings while in office. Then and only then can Truth Justice and the American way be achieved

I want to see President Obama succeed

This past weekend has seen so many gas bags espousing their vitriolic stupidity that I am given hope that the American people will see it for what it is failure. Unrepentant failure no new ideas. The new Republican Party pulling itself apart with the help of Rush Limbaugh is going to be fun to watch. I suggest enough air time and rope they will hang themselves.
The policies, decisions and people the President has put into place truly means change. However the secret weapon to make this whole boat float is the President himself his oratory skills along with his sincerity comes shining through. The people see this and are persuaded that what he says has merit and truth this guy is not spinning the facts. Common sense and common good will prevail.
President Obama has stated that special interest and lobby groups are getting ready to oppose his policies especially health care reform. No doubt they are and further he states he is ready for them. The health insurance industry is willing to spend countless millions of its profits on lobbying to retain its very profitable monopoly. This is not a game and the Republicans know it. Their party is in so much trouble on this issue alone that when the President pulls off universal health care the Republicans will be out of office for several election cycles. This was the fact in most countries with universal care Canada, Great Britain, France and Germany.
Much is being said about the cost of this type of Government run care; today it has been reported to cost less than the bank bailout. The country is worth that and more. The greatest benefit will come in the form of social survival, no more bankruptcy from catastrophic medical expenses and no death from spread sheet disease. Imagine how much more productive the work force will be, how much more confidence the individual will have in a country that actually is working for his best interests.
I do not want to see anyone including the Republicans FAIL but they will fail unless they wake up and smell the coffee. The old order changes bringing forth the new.

Update on War Criminal Coming to Canada

On Feb 13th I reported that GW Bush was coming to Canada. Well maybe yes and maybe no, a post this morning at AfterDowningStreet.Org quotes a Canadian group

Bush is inadmissible to Canada under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act. Section 35(1) (a) states that a foreign national is inadmissible on grounds of violating human or international rights or for committing an act outside Canada that constitutes an offence referred to in sections 4 to 7 of the Crimes against Humanity and War Crimes Act. Also inadmissible (s.35 (1)(b)) are persons who are, or were, senior officials “in the service of a government that, in the opinion of the Minister, engages or has engaged in gross human rights violations.
I don’t know where this will go but it does point out that George is on shaky ground as far as traveling outside his own country. This is Canada and as was shown last Thursday we have a huge respect for all that is decent in the USA President Obama was warmly endorsed by all Canadians. George to me does not represent decency. It makes me very proud that others confirm my position on this mans entrance into this country. We do have high ethical standards and demand more of elected officials and those in power.
If there are reasonable grounds to believe a person has been complicit in any of these crimes, listed above entry to Canada must be denied. The Supreme Court of Canada says reasonable grounds are “something more than suspicion but less than…proof on the balance of probabilities.”

Road Trip up the Gold Rush Trail

Gold was first found in British Columbia at Fort Langley on the Fraser River. That was all it took to lure the miners up from the fields in California and they came in droves from San Francisco north by boat to the Fraser. Their rewards were great not only on the Fraser but on the Thompson on the Similkameen and Tulamene and countless thousands of other creeks and rivers in this Province.
This past weekend Tango and I traveled from where gold was first discovered on the Fraser River, up past some of the richest strikes ever found. And something struck me as being vastly important and unsaid in my last post on the subject of the rush of 2010. Low water in winter is not unusual but the unusually low snow pack this winter will mean low water this summer. Time to go panning.
Last years floods moved a hell of a pile of gravel and now it will be up to you to sort through it. All these rivers renew themselves annually I did not see a lot of activity on these creeks and rivers but they do deserve some scrutiny this year. Low water just means you can get lower on the water always looking for bed rock. And the crack and crevices in it, as being natural traps for the heavies.
My last post dealt with potential for dealing with unemployment and need for cash and new business ventures, this post will tell you forget about the Fraser except for honing your skills for the gold is not as hard to find as getting past all the regulations from all the authorities on fish bearing rivers. These are the opening lines of Robert W Service epic poem The Cremation of Sam McGee. A first hand Bankers observations of the creeks and the men that worked them. Poetry aside the rush of 98 was a part of American history. Fortunes were found and made, lost and stolen the times were tough but the miners were tougher. They stayed on the creeks till they no longer hit pay dirt and then they moved on and found new creeks.
The mining industry today in some respects is founded on that early gold pan technique. The easy creeks gave out and men moved on but not before million of ounces of the noble metal had been found. Claims lapsed but were recorded and records survive till Today. During the dirty thirties when men were up against a depression and unable to feed their families they returned to the creeks and in many cases were as successful, as miners were the first time around on these same creeks, and same claims. You see there is a seldom thought answer as to why these creeks would pay again. The short answer is permafrost.
Tough times are upon America again jobs are being lost by the thousands on a daily basis. And enterprising men will again return to the creeks, technology having served the placer mining industry very well. Light weight aluminum sluice boxes suction dredges allow the modern miner to go over old ground again with great success. This new equipment is so much more efficient than wooden sluice boxes wing dams and pick and shovel. I don’t really advocate torture but I do advocate indictment Bush and Chaney should be joined at the hip for eternity and history as the Bonnie and Clyde of all time political malfeasance. Theirs was more than the simple bad of bank robbery theirs was the bad of looting the national treasury. Theirs were the lies leading to an unnecessary war resultant in death and disfiguration of thousands of the willing coalition and Americans forces who bought their bullshit. They being George and Dick and the PNAC proponents they are the ones responsible for the fall of Americas fortunes today in 2009 That former administration was a blight on all issues that were needful of the American people but they were a boon to all the corporate and crony profits that were their base, big oil and the military industrial complex.
This has now come to an end.
This past election was fought from the net roots up and that is a dynamic in play now, that was not even extant 8yrs ago. The roll of the internet in Barack Osama’s campaign and fund raising abilities was nothing short of amazing. The corporate media did pick up on him but according to each network bias they were not the ones responsible for his successful campaign. It was the bloggers and the you tube and the dialogue that happens with a free and open internet. Obamas financing came from this source and the small donations from the real coalition of the willing.
Now lets get back to that ex lame duck President and his vice President who shoots his lawyer and best friend in the face with a shotgun these two assholes thought they were just going to exit stage right when their gig was over. Oh NO NO . As George W Bush said when he stole the election in 2004 this is an accountability moment. YES an accountability moment.
There is now a new Attorney general who knows how to separate bullshit from buckwheat and he will be looking at you. The new President Obama may not want to look back for recrimination but millions of other people do, and your accountability moment is coming and soon..
There will be an “ I was Indicted” Certificate placed in the phone booth size Presidential library, George W is trying to raise funds for. Laura can duck tape it to the plastic window covering and then go shopping.
And now for the torture of Dick, might as well demand George come to this party as well. I suggest that we liquidate the two families entire net worth to CASH spending only a few bucks for party favors you know weenies’ marshmallows and beer. Then invite a few boy scouts and have a huge bonfire. When all the cash is gone burned like it was on Wall street and living under the overpass is looking like a new home for George and Dick perhaps a manager will give them an new job as Wallmart greeters and let them live out the rest of their lives in splendour. WAR CRIMINAL COMING TO CANADA

George W. Bush is coming to Canada where he should be fairly safe from arrest for war crimes. But why Canadians would want to hear his musing on his time in office is beyond me. Probably more of his bullshit and brain battering tortured rhetoric than anything of substance. Is this a trial balloon for building up the old coffers?

The event is being supported by the Calgary Chamber of Commerce, Ernst & Young, and various other business and professional bodies but most Canadians have been hostile towards the former president because of his decision to invade Iraq.
Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach was dismissive when reporters asked what he thought of Bush's upcoming visit. He’s a free man and can travel to any country he wants.
Is that so? Do you think he can travel with impunity to Germany or France or other countries that subscribe to the International Criminal Court? It will be an interesting exercise to watch Mr. Bush go off on a world speaking tour the likes of former President Bill Clinton.
The pressure is building in America to hold this man and his minions accountable for many of the atrocities associated with his time in office. This man has singularly dragged the name America into third world thug status. The unprecedented arrogance to think that he has something to say will only be heard by 1500 people and no media. Calgary Alberta by the way is a bastion of Canadian conservatism. I doubt he would even be allowed in Quebec.

Michelle Obama gets down

I saw something marvelous and amazing yesterday. That would be the First Lady visiting at a social services center in DC. This amazing lady got down on the floor to a preschoolers level and read them a book. This in itself seemed a very genuine and open thing to do, this was not a photo op although it was recorded as most every thing this first family does. Then Michelle Obama did something that teachers are not encouraged to do she embraced these kids in a big hug. These kids ate it up and are open to genuine affection. This almost brought tears to my eyes as this is what used to happen in schools.
My children were fortunate enough to go to a small rural school; you know the kind with several grades in one class. My oldest at the dinner table one night told us that he was looking forward to tomorrow as it was his turn to sit on Miss Brown’s knee during the reading session. Boy have the times changed since then, that was thirty years ago. That was in early grade school grade one or two, to receive the same kind of attention at school as he got at home. I doubt my son remembers that incident but I do.
The First Lady also sat down with a group of teens this time on chairs and in a circle. She described her growing up what that was like and encouraged these young people to give as well as get. This is part of the new administration message, and a very important part of being able to reach out to the average American
The one thing I can absolutely guarantee is that every child in that school will remember till the day they die, having met the most gracious and beautiful and caring First Lady of the of the first African American President.

It seems to me that there is open revolt in some areas of government. The Generals haven’t fully acknowledged who the boss is and intend to lobby against his position on Iraq withdrawal timeline. Generals Petraeous and Odierno are still trying to demand a military solution when a proper political position will win the day. These honorable warriors have the stars and bars and should be well aware of the chain of command. However the military and military industrial complex have been driving the ship of state for too damn long. A new Commander in Chief has demanded a course change and these two gentleman should salute smartly and say YES SIR.

Another inflated budget and ego surrounds the DEA. This group should understand that the will of the White House is that, DEA raids of medical marijuana outlets in states that allow it must stop. A White house spokesman has said the Presidents stance is that “federal resources should not be used to circumvent state laws”. Surely this agency has bigger fish to fry than medical outlets who are legal. There are tons of real shit drugs out there focus on that.

Burroughing Bushies in the dept of Justice are refusing to leave because there are just too many corrupt Democrats and bong selling Hippies out there who need to be prosecuted. With a new boss like Eric Holder these holed up holdouts will be reeducated and reassigned to someplace that really needs them and their partisan political agenda scrutinized.

Several years ago under a Republican leadership and with Democratic water carriers bankruptcy laws were rewritten to the benefit of creditors. As a result today catastrophic medical issues cripple millions of Americans, along with interest rates from credit card companies that surpass the mob inspired vigorish.
Shovel ready projects no doubt the country needs the infrastructure upgrades and the people need the jobs. But quit farting around with half baked plans by trying to fit new solutions to an unworkable and broken base. This is a crisis of monumental proportion and needs a whole different approach to put America back on the road to recovery. A health care system that is mandatory and covers every one. This will do more than all the bank bailouts ever will. If big business and small business were relieved of this expense more of them would be profitable and not in need of taxpayer help. If the Government ran a health care system there would be no need for profit just cost recovery. The social implications alone would be dramatic and lasting.
While we are at it get that minimum wage upped to something that resembles reality. If an employer is not saddled by outlandish costs for health INSURANCE higher wages can be paid and everyone wins!

This CNN guest was soon summarily dismissed .
America must come to learn what the real problem is, and that is arrest and incarceration of over three hundred thousand citizens a year for simple possession of this plant that grows on this planet. It has value and is known to science as a tool in relief of many medical situations. It is not going away so become informed and make a stand.

Has murder become an accepted political tool?

The history of the planet involves the overthrow of one leader by another for sole purpose of power. We in the west have been led to believe what we are told. We do not examine in detail what we need to know. I know for example without going to wickipedia and off the top of my head that John Wilkes Booth Shot Abe Lincoln in Fords Theater, I don’t know why. But I accept that it happened.
I know that JFK was shot in Dealy plaza by a gun man apprehended that day in a theater Lee Harvey Oswald was later shot while in custody by Jack Ruby a man with known mob ties. How do I know this I saw it on TV. That’s what I saw, but why it happened that way was poorly explained, and became one of the biggest cover ups in American history. I know that Bobby Kennedy was murdered and that some guy with the unlikely name Sirhan Sirhan was arrested and charged and convicted. I saw that on TV as well but I don’t know why he did it the reasons given at the time didn’t make sense. Dr. Martin Luther King was gunned down but I don’t remember who did it, but I do remember at the time thinking this happened because he was a very well spoken black man that was in the face of the establishment, that was a word during the sixties that meant something and I did know what that was. And I believed then and now that was true. Malcolm X was a black radical I was told and he to bought a bullet. There was a lot of establishment clean up going around in the sixties. It was only fashionable in some circles but widely accepted as fact by the majority. Moving forward and forgive me if I have failed to report or missed any other unfortunate and untimely demises.
Let us skip directly to the undetermined and untimely death of the third Kennedy John Jr. The beginning of a new methodology the small plane crash was soon to over throw the bullet. I know off the top of my head that his plane and remains were recovered and pilot error was assumed to be the cause. End of story nothing to see here so we will move along what could he have possibly been up to except being a Kennedy with possible future political persuasions. Next in line and the forerunner of future icing on the wings for politically fortuitous considerations. Paul Wellstone had actually read the patriot act before it was enacted and was against it, he was also poised to speak out against it, and down he goes along with several others. The last on my list of politically expedient demises was most recently the unfortunate plane crash of Mike Connell. This man was the internet guru used by the White House during the 2004 election cycle and man responsible for archiving White house emails he was purported to have been threatened by Karl Rove and poised to testify about alleged impropriety.
Murder most assured with Lincoln, JFK, and Bobby Kennedy. Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. The politically fortuitous death of these others I leave up to too you to decide were they murder or just ??

Too Powerful to Prosecute?

Two more areas of inquiry remain a possibility, The oh so quaint Geneva Convention and world court, does have jurisdiction and is best equipped to handle areas like torture and the Bush doctrine of preemptive invasion and occupation. The world opinion of America is at an all time low and looking to us to make a start on some of the most egregious crimes of the Bush criminal network. That start is coming to a computer screen near you. Don’t expect too much from the corporate media as they will continue to carry water for what they interpret the party of big business.
One final area of inquiry and the one I like best, I refer to it as the Bugliosi solution. Vincent Bugliosi prosecutor extraordinaire has the qualification to have studied the evidence and declare that George W Bush can and should be tried for murder. It would only take one federal prosecutor or any District Attorney that has had a soldier from his jurisdiction killed in Iraq to level a charge of murder. Not TOO POWERFUL TO PROSECUTE. Today John Aravosis www.americablog.com/ is reporting that Archbishop Rino Fisichella is commenting on the arrogance of newly elected President Obama as someone who is opening the door to abortion and thus the destruction of human life. Abortion does not take long to rear its ugly head from this absolute Papal moral authority.
I say to you this sir preach to your congregation that abortion is wrong, that way you will be heard by those that want to hear you. You do not have the right to make demands or assertions on the population at large. Yours is just a view point from your particular brand of theology, it does not represent mine. And you point of view does not give you liberty to anoint Americas new leader as arrogant. In fact Mr. Archbishop in order to serve your flock you should totally curtail all criticism of state affairs and stay with the
God that you know so well. This is the message that you should be giving you know the one about tollerance and respect for others.
If the Church wishes to have a say in governance it could become so. It need only to give up its tax exemption and then it could have the status of any other multinational. It could lobby legally. Pay its taxes like all of us. The entire Christian right if it paid taxes could probably make America solvent.

Too Big to Fail ?

Bailouts I am not going to spend a lot of time on this subject because like John McCain I am not real good on this. However suffice it to say that they are necessary as a result of failed Republican policies and deregulation. The bailout appears to me to be socialism for the super rich. Risk capital when lost in risky business ventures cannot be allowed to happen as these companies are TOO BIG TO FAIL. What the hell does that mean? What the hell does it mean when a CEO drives his company into failure and receives a bailout hand out from we the people and he still collects his well deserved bonus of millions?
Did you know that out of the seven hundred Billion dollar bailout a firm ten percent of that is being spent on bonus claims by CEOs? Now I personally am still working on my first million I have along way to go and don’t have any off shore accounts in the Cayman Islands or anywhere else. Now ask that question of CEOs and any of the companies getting the handout. They do have offshore accounts and in some cases do not pay taxes. I have never written this before but WTF? I will conclude this portion of my post by saying I have a great deal of faith in the new administrations ability to clean up this huge pile of horseshit, set the record straight, and redefine the agenda from corporate welfare to social issues of WE THE PEOPLE.

The nightmare is over let the good dreams begin. So much is being written about this moment and so much of that is oh so very good, so much more informed than my little piece. However I wish to speak as a citizen of Canada and what this means to me. I have followed these past Presidents antics, lies and dubious behavior with horror. No civilized country deserves this kind of treatment at the hands of a leader who obviously ignores the people’s needs in favor of his friends and as GWB put it his base. His repeated veto of the SCHIP program was an unconscionable denial of human need and definitely not compassionate conservatism. Very little of what he thinks of as accomplishment can be viewed as such by the average person. His accountability moment has come and now he is GONE.
The world is watching these events today and hope again is being brought to life. The treasure that was America is being picked up dusted off and going to assume its proper place on the world’s stage. This is the first time since the inauguration of JFK that the face of America shone the way it does today. Barack Obama is the face of the world’s future, he now holds the football and his finger is not as itchy on the trigger as the outgoing President the world can relax a lot tensions are easing. The American people are so behind this man and his audacity that there are over two million spectators today to watch the future unfold!

Retired General Eric Shinseki has been tasked by the Obama team to oversee and overhaul the Veterans Administration. This is one qualified man who was never afraid to speak truth to power. Like the veterans the agency serves, Shinseki knows well the potential lifetime consequences of combat. He was injured twice in combat, losing part of a foot while serving in Vietnam when he stepped on a land mine. Recently He told the senators he doesn't understand why veterans are currently waiting six months on average to have a claim processed. "We need to do something about this," he said.
The Pentagons budget for 2009 of $515.4 billion, annual military spending, when adjusted for inflation, will have reached its highest level since World War II.
That new Defense Department budget proposal, which is to pay for the standard operations of the Pentagon and the military but does not include supplemental spending on the war efforts or on nuclear weapons, is an increase in real terms of about 5 percent over last year. That budget should as already proposed and without any more supplemental or new funding include all costs of whatever it is that Shinseki determines is necessary. Something much less important than retuning troop health and welfare needs to be trimmed. There is no shortage of hidden and unnecessary spending in this budget. No military man of worth can denounce the needs of a returning soldier. These warriors have paid an extreme price for our benefit. He or She deserves no less than immediate and complete care. Mental health, physical health, financial help and reeducation are all part of the overhaul.
This incoming administration is being hit with an enormous financial meltdown so in order to offset this even the hallowed establishment of the Pentagon is going to have to bite the bullet and suck up the cost of doing what is right it will eventually prove in their best interest.

A Hypothetical Mr. President Elect

Let this next congress begin with a prayer and end with investigations.
Today the President Elect stated no decisions had been made about investigations on the Bush administration and that it was his focus to look forward and not back. An honest and pragmatic answer as he is not yet the President. He should not show his cards or underestimate the enemy, foreign or domestic. In this case the enemy is truth.
My hypothetical question is this. Mr. President Elect as you come into office and the inner circle of the intelligence community were you to discover something outrageous regarding the events of 9/11 will you inform the people or hide the past? The world at large says bullshit to the official explanation what will you say?
All investigations should start at the beginning and 9/11 was the beginning of the end of a legal administation. All else since then needs serious scrutiny as well you do know.

The infrastructure of security and communication is already there and not a bad place for that new dog.

If I were the the GOP those three subjects would would scare the hell out of me. Any one of these will prove more than a worthy adversary to a party failed. In several other countries including Canada, France and England the political party that brought in universal health care was able to retain power through several election cycles. You can absolutely take to the bank or someplace safer the fact that major health care reform is happening. The Republican Party along with all the attendent lobbyists will push hard but I believe there is no power greater than an idea whose time has come. Universal Health Cares time has come It is now time to engage any opponents who wish to show why this is not common sense and good business.
Snarlin Arlin thinks it important to understand Eric Holder and question this candidate about the pardon of Mark Rich. PARDON THAT’S RICH I can’t wait for George W. Bush sprint to the finish and see who he pardons. Just another red herring, false flag bullshit, trip thrown up by that pseudo partisan hack. The reason the republicans are going to attempt a black ball on this candidate is they know he cant be compromised and more of them are in compromising situations than Democrats and he will go after them as well, he’s done it before. Holder is one scary dude if you are on the wrong side of the law, accountability is not just a word it’s a promise.Jack in Jail not on bail and has done a lot of talking. This story is on the back burner, but not the investigation. That is ongoing, and with the sheer volume of documentation making slow but steady progress. More indictements will follow. There is also less worry about being derailed as like with John McCains committee and his vast hord of doccumentation that never saw the light of day. Heads are going to roll as there is one hell of a pile of people going to come forward when the new administration is installed. Quit Calling him Stupid

I like starting a story with a quote and one of my favourite movie characters is Forest Gump who I quote as saying “ stupid is as stupid does”

George W Bush is evil. He does not work or live by the standards that we attribute to good leaders, his is a world of excess, with a family tradition of self serving wealth accumulation at the expense of all else. There is no agenda greater than his own. There is nothing as important as loyalty to the Bush family and this has its rewards and punishment, I suspect. The rewards for corporate fealty are observed in the outrageous profits of the oil companies and all attendant industry in the war effort.
There is nothing George does that is not calculated from invading Iraq, to political appointments. Judicial appointments like stacking the Supreme Court to filling the Justice department with loyal Bush people. All of these for the purpose of furthering the Bush network and agenda these are not the acts of a stupid person these are very clever maneuver by an almost evil form of genius. The common good is never a consideration on this path to the work of a higher Father. And outdoing his own fathers efforts of Presidency.
The only thing that gives me hope about all this so called not being stupid is the George W. Bush escape plan. And when he is out of office nineteen days from now, his ass could be grass if the incoming President decided that it was in the best interests of the country to examine the multiple malfeasances of the former administration. The pressure will be great for accountability at home, the new administration will do something, but it could be more worrisome to George if The Hague or World court were to harbor the same thoughts. International travel as I have stated before could prove troubling just staying in the good old US of A is not the answer to his problems. He needed a safe haven and Paraguay was that place. One little wrinkle to mar a flawless escape plan… Paraguay who had no extradition treaty and did not enjoy their dictator of the past sixty years, they have now elected a left leaning former Catholic clergy who will probably not embrace a former torturer and war monger from north of the border. This former safe haven for war criminals will in all probability come under intense pressure to renounce these past practices. The new hundred thousand acre compound not looking quite as much like home as it did a short while ago.
I did not celebrate the arrival of the New Year. I am holding my breath till Inauguration day and the arrival of the future. The whole world will take one giant step forward as this man steps down. The past must be held accountable, the present is but a moment, the future is all there is. Let the new congress begin with a prayer and end with INVESTIGATIONS!

TIMSHOL the most important word in the Bible?

John Steinbeck should be required reading and I am sure he is. This author was one of my favorites 40 years ago. I haven’t picked him up since I put down Travels with Charlie, when it first came out. However if you ever read him some things stay forever. In his novel East of Eden with the Trask bros as a portrayal of Cain and Abel, Steinbeck weaved a story I have largely forgotten.
For whatever reason the part I did recall and the part of that book that brings me to this post is the story of Lee the Chineese cook who was employed by the Trask family. It
seems that Lee was not content to be just your average inscrutable China man nor simply a cook. Lee was an intellectual, and a seeker of truth. Lee joined along with others a group to study Biblical Hebrew. I recall thinking that strange I recall being unable to relate a lowly Chinese cook as having the intellectual capacity to understand this kind of obscure philosophical complexity as one verse of Geneses was troubling to him.
This is not the average ending to an American classic novel, and yet it is. It all came down to the translation of one word “TIMSHOL”. From the two differing tanslations of the New Testament the King James Version states with Biblical certainty that Timshol meant [Thou Shalt] rule over it. While the American Standard translation has this word as meaning [Do Thou] rule over it.Lee was conflicted by the apparent opposites in meaning as this was a seeming important part of the demands made on Christian followers. That being said he took this dichotomy to the experts and with two years of scrutiny by Hebraic schollars they came to the conclusion that both accepted translations were wrong, and that the word Timshol would be most accurately translated as [Thou May] rule over it if you have the ability and free will choice.
The enormous difference between shall and May are in a direct proportion to the number of times they are used in his infallible book the Bible. It has always been my contention that anyone preaching chapter and verse might as wll read the phone book as that would be more accurate. The phone book is a first eddition well edited for accuracy. The Bible is in its seventh translation from its original script. This was written two to three hundred years after the event. It would not be easy to compile a phone book that was accurate for three hundred years ago
Thou May Rule vs. Thou Shalt Rule take on a whole different concept regarding church and state. It appears to me that it is no longer a mandated direction church must take at governance but one of secondary signicance. The church does not have the ability as there are proclamations to the separation of church and state.Further as a church you do not have free will choice.
The Christian religion must come forward into the Twenty first century. No longer can the hollow rhetoric of chapter and verse hold sway over those governing. I believe that is a quotation from Shakespear but I might be wrong and I don’t care. Think about it and it is truth without having to think. There are journalist’s news reporter and celebrity figures everywhere trying to influence your thinking, your concepts, ideas and actions. Sex sells and Saraha sold her soul.
There are serious web sites out there where you get all the daily feeds and information in real time. These sites are oh so very important, but I am here to tell of sites less traveled and oh so very important for a different reason. These are sites driven not by corporate agenda but by the heart of real people. People like you with an attitude, people with a bitch or an itch that needs scratching. People with a message for all who have ears to hear.
I recently started this blog site and didn’t know shit from shinola still don’t but I watched the godess of blog Arianna, on Larry King and she stated new bloggers should blog their passion. I have been attempting to do that and looking for others doing the same. I am pleased to report that I have found many. Just coming to grips with what my passion is, is a challenge because that is not the same as interests. In order to understand this I liken it to pornography you know it when you see it. Now some of the bloggers with passion I have found are Kay in Maine at White Noise Insanity here is a lady with a passion for making what is wrong right. Loosing GWB to the trash heap of history, high on her agenda. Mine as well but she says it better. I like Kay with my first coffee in the morning she gets my heart rate up. Sometimes sassy and irreverent but always from the heart and right on.
The next on my my list is[ Mad as Hell Liberal] she gets me going on health CARE reform issues and American Workers and speaks with an extremely good understanding of the complexities of these issues. KsLiberal considers herself a word Geek but I must point out that this is not a bad thing as it makes her post passionate and informing. I have come to the point of being excited when a new post comes up, she is loud but she hasn’t heard me after a few beers!
The last blogger in this series is another lady who most certainly is passionate and honest and again is someone I enjoy reading, [randommaraininthoughts] now that’s a blog handle, writes on issues from 9/11, to loosing a nicotine habit,and a dog named Spitball. Nine eleven, smoking and dogs my kind of girl. Some of these bloggers are new to this as am I however they all display talent and heart and I wish them all success and happiness in their passion and look forward to being in their company.
These people are not fools but they are teaching wise men wit.

Someone that I’ve been following is Len Hart at http:// existentialist cowboy .blogspot.com This guy is a maverick he is one unbranded calf no one owns this one, he wanders the range alone and speaks out against abuse where ever he sees it left or right or center, right is might, and wrong is fought. I have opinions and attitude, Len has facts figures and solutions.
When the truth needs telling which are both often and unfortunate Len Hart does it. One of his recent posting was one of the best researched, and most in need of being brought to the surface of comman awareness he did that and I applaud.
{Karl Rove Threatened Connell Suspected of Sabotage and Murder}. This story broke eight days ago I personally have been looking for it in the corporate media and have not found it. It’s not there it’s been air brushed from happening, not being driven. The MSM ignores all things adverse to their bottom line and the GOP and Republican party represented that bottom line The new and consolidated media does not rock the boat. The new and consolidated media does not report the news.
Responsible boggers like the Existentialist cowboy, Huffington Post, Daily Kos, Raw Story and others were all over this plane crash and the implications on the death of this man. Silence from the corporate media tells me something. And this I picked up from this maverick cowboy as well THE TRUTH IS DANGEROUS I believe that icing on the wings of a small plane will kill you as quickly as spread sheet disease. I believe that that those in power have access to vast resources and imaginative solutions. I believe that if you can conjure up a fictitious solution to a vexing problem so can those that are in jeopardy. I believe that this plane crash will be investigated on more than just the level of aviation administration but in order to make that happen it has got to be driven. Light must be shone on the investigating agencys FBI, Justice Dept. and incoming administration must recognise that this is one very fortuitous event eliminating all avenues to the truth. This is not politics as usual this is the beginning of the end. Too many people in important positions are dying in small plane accidents Mike Connell was the last in a litany that is long, but for brevity I mention only Paul Wellstone and JFK jr. Clean up America, listen to a real maverick, listen to Len.Lean on his fence and watch him ride these stories and rope their essences. We will win.

THE HAGUE IS VAGUE what does that court say?
The very fact that the out going administration is guilty only in the appearance of impropriety. That no courts have actually said guilty as charged. Let us now appoint those courts. Has any inquiry been made of the World Court? What are their view points talking points and general impressions of an American President gone rogue?
I would love to believe that no country of the world receive a free pass in this court. No one should be exempt from the established law that has been determined here. The Japanese were prosecuted for water boarding, Dick Chaney has admitted to this act, this is torture and Dick and others must come to the law. My favorite Professor used to say “There is Nothing New in the World It just happens to different People”!
The events of 9/11 2001 were not new, it just happened big time in America for the first time. It was different for the American people hence forth and for the next 7 years. But these acts of terrorism do not condone extreme interrogation techniques or acts of extraordinary rendition or prison facilities like Abu Grahib or Guantanamo. Those events did not warrant the type of terror waged upon the American people by its own government. However these charges should not be tried in house by American courts for all the obvious reasons they should be reviewed and tried under world approved standards. Those standards are not quaint.
Vincent Bugliosi has suggested that G.W. Bush be charged with murder some say that is not enough and that others be tried along with him conspiracy is not a theory it is a CRIME. The litany of abuse by the outgoing administration is long and detailed and very much in need of an accountability moment. I see the President elect with as Kay in Maine says one huge shit pile to clean up. It will not be easy but it will be necessary if the people are ever to have confidence in the rule of law again George W Bush, Dick Chaney, Alberto Gonzales, Donald Rumsfeld should be treated no differently than Billy who Farted POT DEALER. They are more outrageous than any crack addict could ever be simply because they come at their crime from a position of power and a belief that that when the President does it is not against the law. BULLSHIT the law is the law and you folks do not get to pick and choose and use signing statements to protect you asses I do not know the form accountability will come in I am only certain that it must come and that the way is now paved to truth.
For too long those doing the crimes have been framing the argument that what they do is in your best interest, not for one moment should you believe that. Lies are always in the best interest of the liar as the truth is probably dangerous!

Krista's Critters

My life was blessed with three children, in the beginning two boys. Seventeen months apart and friends and buds forever. The sister came along and everyone loved her. But she was different she was not a boy. This fact did not register on this girl and there was naught that they could do that she could not follow up to a point somewhere in their teens. Krista could ride and rope and catch a dog or tame and train a cat like no one could. But she was not a boy and as such was kept from brother shit for along time. That being the case she tried harder, she spent countless hours by herself with horses cats dogs and nature. She and her critters developed on a scale beyond the norm. I have watched her ride in darkness her horse without bridle, halter or saddle. Without any thing other than a common bond of love. Krista worked a wonder on every animal she ever encountered. The family dog Nuage was never the same after adding her to his pack because she was not a boy. He and she were buds. He was hers and, she was his and they were both together. Picture a two year old girl sleeping with her head on an old English Sheep Dog. Picture her dressing my tom cat in baby clothes picture her getting ring worm from a litter of infected kittens.
In my bio I describe myself as being anthropomorphic because I talk to my dog, well my daughter is even more so than me and I mean that in a very positive and enlightened way. Snakes know heart, yogis in jungle need not fear! Krista’s Critters never feared they went along with whatever she demanded of them and seldom was she ever bit scratched or mauled. All critters fold to her molding eventually
Today all my children are grown and I trust that whatever separated boys and girls is gone. The family is all adults and that is great but that which still stand true beyond the norm is Krista’s hold on critters. My blog sites namesake “Tango” goes totally bat shit crazy when she comes round. krista has two cats of her own both of which are very talented one plays Brahms on the Piano and the other recites poetry non stop morning to night. When she goes down town, Kit is like the pied piper of our town and has a huge critter following. Pit bulls and crows and God only knows follow Kit wherever she goes. It is amazing. I can do nothing except acknowledge someone, whose talents outperform mine in all respects canine, feline, equine, and all things critter wise. God where did all this talent come from? Oh that’s right it came from within and the knowledge that when it comes to animals if it is necessary NO is NOT an Answer, animals come first !!

Earlier this evening my son in law James and I were having this discussion about the need for change in viewing spirituality. We came to the conclusion that it is no longer necessary for Priest Preachers and authority to dictate. We both agreed that neither he nor I subscribe to any form of organized religion and yet we both follow moral civilized relations with the world at large.
In the history of man it was always necessary that we have some form of understanding as to who we were and how we came to be. These were given to us by the dictates of clergy and we believed. This was sufficient at the time, however times change and those dictates did not. We today are confronted with problems that were not extant fifty years ago but the solutions we are given through this ideology are fifteen hundred years old and don’t come close to Twenty first century mans needs.
I am not suggesting that we throw out the baby with the bath water, I do not suggest the overthrow of organized religion I do call a halt to my way or the highway fundamental philosophies. Christians must lighten up a little. QUIT QUOTING ME CHAPTER AND VERSE. Start talking about what you personally have learned from looking inside or what you personally feel start talking less about what Jesus said or did and more about the here and now. Bible is just a book. The dictionary is just a book Cooking for the Holidays is just a book. Books are books being aware of whom you are and the way you personally fit the web of the world is what is important. The need for a new religion based on the demands of living righteously in this era are not so unattainable it simply takes a quiet time to entertain you own thoughts. Introspection, meditation, call it what you will. Sitting mindlessly, gazing at the fire, or the stars or the ocean, or a blade of grass. Get lost in this unknown and find God. At least that’s what James said. And I believe it!

TheWorld is Very Holy

The author at{ randommarainthoughts} was instrumental in my wanting to write this post as I believe in the Fatherhood of God The Motherhood of Nature and the Brotherhood of Man. She saw God in flowers, sunsets and corral reefs, I do to. This author was a Catholic I was a Protestant who gives a shit. We have both grown beyond labels and found the common ground of spirit. When I go to bed at night I ask the great good spirit that made the lion who also made the lamb and black dogs who also made me, to make me more than I know myself to be.
The native American Spirituality has been way underrated. It is simple it is based on individual experience as to furthering ones understanding and progress through the complexities of life. Isolation and vision quest a method of coming face to face with oneself and the role one must have in life. Who among us go through this quest? Not many of us think along these lines. And even fewer hold them to be important.
This view point is valid and needs more scrutiny, this view point comes not from scribes and purported testimony this viewpoint comes from the unadulterated observance of nature and human involvement in trying to survive. At times these Native Americans ate Bear and at times the bear ate these natives.
The idea that is your own and the thoughts you develop from within are more important than any concept given you or any dogma inherent from an organized religion. These are the demands of others you must be driven by the thoughts you create on your own.

A Healthy Future

I have gone in a different direction lately by reading Blog’s less known one that struck my fancy was by MADASHELLLIBERAL. My contribution to New Healthcare ideas. As a Canadian the frustration she outlined are not mine. And hard to fathom, but for you as an American I would recommend you read her blog and follow her advice on how to make the changes necessary.
It occurs to me that during this time of financial crisis that with proper lobbying this crisis could be changed to opportunity. The President elect has already issued statements on his willingness to engage this issue and Tom Daschle is obviously qualified to implement the needed changes. From the big three up and down the line business will profit from not having HEALTH INSURANCE as an albatross around their neck. The forty to fifty million uninsured will have something they never thought possible HEALTH CARE. All America will profit from the elimination of death by spread sheet.
These changes will not come easily as the Insurance lobby sure as God made little green apples will throw up every roadblock imaginable and even those one cannot imagine, these insurance companies will not go softly into the night. Let them remain as is. Make mandatory single payer Government run Health Care, without the profit potential this will be decidedly cheaper and available to all. If you are not happy with the government scheme Private insurance is out there go for it.
I would like to state emphatically this is not a socialist or communist proposal this is common sense .And its time has come, this was never a possibility with the former administration but the past is past the present is but a moment the future is all there is.

WHAT ARE WE MISSING?
We are told that IMPEACHMENT is off the table. What is it that I don’t understand about why that is fact? There has been no good reason given at this point to forego that obvious tool to the truth.
Dennis Kucinich offered up in the house 35 articles of Impeachment that has gone virtually unreported in the corporate media and made one hell of a stir at the net roots. I am beginning to have a high disregard for the corporate media but not them alone as this goes equally against a complicit Democratic party. Again and again I ask what are we missing. Why is this administration not being held accountable why is government Being fractured by stonewalling obfuscation and general nose thumbing of the laws of the land. When you have a Justice Dept hijacked to make the law conform to the Presidents wishes rather than inform the President as to the legality of his desire something is wrong.. Congress and Senate write law not the Justice Dept. and not the President however just say signing statement and you know something is wrong
Something is wrong Scott McClellan has said as much and has testified under oath. Phase two of the Senate investigation has been tabled and it as well indicates something is wrong. The FISA amendments and immunity to the TELECOMMUNICATION industry Fusion centers and a whole new litany of non credible intrusions of liberty are what is in store for the future. Silly me I thought the Democratic Party was for the liberal advancement of human rights and freedoms the progressive movement in a way in which the average person was not trod upon by government run amuck.
Impeachment does not necessarily mean removal from office it does mean investigation, it does mean no more ducking subpoenas it does get to the truth and it does preclude the pardoning of associates for crimes committed, including Telecommunications companies. When we all try and teach our children that it is wrong to lie cheat and steal here we a have a President who does all three. This is not the shining example a leader should be. Where is the accountability why didn't the Religious right take a stance against these lies as the abomination they are? This administration is so in need of an accountability moment that will put a stop on its assault of the American people. Impeachment would be that stop before everyone gets a pardon. Halliburton has done well don’t you agree? Carlyle Corporation is now poised to take over a large chunk of the espionage community. The Bush family empire will go on and on and on Billions of dollars of fraud, theft are just plain unaccounted for in Iraq. And did I mention Impeachment is off the table?

The shoe seen round the world

However the world at large is viewing this and unlike George W Bush who states I don’t know what his problem is. Most of the world does know the problem it is you Sir. The rest of the world see these pictures and understand the history of the region and are not impressed by you legacy and feeble attempts to rewrite history to conform to your vanity. In this case sir the world is rooting for the shoe thrower. Not you not America as it is. I do believe the Arab world and middle east region may become more stable with you gone Sir.

TANGO RECOVERING

MANS BEST FRIEND HAS SURGERY
I have been a slight bit distracted as Tango has had a lumpectomy. Since he was about a year old he has had a lump on his neck. The veterinarian thought it was a benign allergic reaction to a vaccination, as this is a site most often used for injection. However the lump was growing and though it didn’t seem to bother him it did bother me. My daughter one time had a precocious little dog that was not as fortunate as Tango and the lump she had was indeed carcinogenic. No fun watching man or animal go downhill with cancer.
So I bit the bullet and committed my friend to pain and suffering to ease my fears, he was forced to starve for twelve hours prior to being admitted. I was not prepared for what I saw when he was released, this was much more radical than I had imagined. A very dopey drooling dog came home and sure didn’t think much of his medicine but like a trooper he took it and had a big ham and crumbles dinner.
After a lot of attention and a good night’s sleep we are both on the mend. He was out this am for his morning round of leg lifting and turf scattering I wouldn’t allow cat chasing today as both he and the cats need a day off. I am pleased to report that he is clear eyed and bushy no tail.

The other day I was wandering around Len Hart’s spread “ The Existentialist Cowboy” when I found this little gem so I picked it up put it in my pocket to save for a rainy day. Well its Monday it’s raining so here it is. A quotation by C. G Jung “A lie makes no sense, unless the truth were thought to be dangerous”
As the events of September 11th 2001 were unfolding in the following week it soon became obvious to a news junkie like me that something was amiss. Couldn’t quite put my finger on it but a gut feeling that that at best truth was being suppressed, the news media does not necessarily demand or expect answers as an investigation is underway. But as the days gave way to weeks and months, it became obvious that truth was on the back burner. Even an ex dog catcher like myself could see that Sadam was a dictator and that Osama was a Religious fundamentalist, under no circumstances would these two be in collusion.Meanwhile the President was waving the flag looking for a patriotic response the people saluted that flag, and it was reflected in his poll numbers soaring as high as they would ever go. Who knew for certain he was lying? The drums of war were beating senselessly, it was wrong and by this time it was being recognized and some were speaking out against this. Only to be beaten back and ostracized, vilified and ridiculed as being unpatriotic if you are not with us you are against us. It wasn’t until the speech delivered at the United Nations when the president delivered those sixteen words of infamy that I personally knew that he was lying.
My nineteen years of interviewing dog, owners was enough training to observe body language, and speech delivery, and state without any reserve that is A Lie. During Colin Powell’s speech I admit I was less certain but viewed it with a good deal of skepticism. From the highest tech country in the world they display hand drawn pictures of what turned out to be items of non existence Well that was along time ago and several thousand lies later, Dick and George are heading for the exit, and we the people are left a legacy of ruined military families, economy in the dumpster, world standing and respect at the lowest point in history.
The only time in my life that my father ever gave me a good spanking was when he caught me in a very obvious lie. I won’t say it stopped me from doing it again, but did serve to prove a lifetime lesson. I believe it important to the future of America that the extent and scope of these lies and acts of treason be explored. I suggest post administration IMPEACHMENT. The truth is dangerous and will piss you off.

I state with no compunction that the wisdom imparted in this book is as valid today as ever it was. Also that you may lead a very happy and compassionate life by following the dogma that goes along with the organization of Christian followers. The ministers, priests, and preachers will be only too happy to straighten you out if you get twisted up in the course of living your life. Coming back into the fold is as simple as once again committing to a 10% tithe. And for those of you who never fall from the fold you shall be rewarded with life forever with the great cloud being.
I fully realize that the words I have written will be viewed with horror by a good portion of people reading, however I want you to know that a good portion of the people are horrified by what Christianity has become. Good service to the cause has not been realized by what John McCain, once called the “agents of intolerance." Intolerance with settled law as in Roe vs. Wade. Church and State should be surgically removed at the hip as they are like oil and water. Religion must soothe the inner being of each individual separate of the whole. Governance must serve the all in a secular fashion as each being equal. The two must compliment each other and they do. Government has little need to control Religious movements except in rare instance such as Jim Jones and Waco Texas. Why do religious communities need guns?
Christians just piss people off when they declare a Petrie dish more important than helping someone with a spinal cord injury or Alzheimer’s or interrupt scientific inquiry with absurd Biblical certainty. The same holds true with the argument of intelligent design and the age of the earth not conforming to the infallible word of the Bible. Give it up folks, the old order changes bringing forth the new. Give your life to God and Receive a blessing, sounds good to me, leave off telling everyone else including government the only way to do it. And we will all profit.

NEW PRESIDENT WILL HAVE MUCH EXPANDED POWERS..

Thanks must be given to George W Bush. Were it not for Georges maniacal position of power grabbing the incoming President would just be another incoming president. However this one will have extraordinary power, he wont have to obey any laws because of existing executive orders.. He will be able to listen in on whoever he wants on the phone that should prove interesting.. When the going gets tough he will enlist the military to suppress whatever republican transgressors need suppressing and if need be have them declared enemy combatants and disappear them to one of the new K.B.R prisons built by George for undisclosed reasons.
Yes I think we are all going to enjoy these new Fascist crafted expanded powers the news headlines could with a little imagination be quite creative. Imagine if you will Karl Rove trying to thumb his nose and duck a subpoena , watch Karl frog march. Watch Ken Lay be resurrected and then held as an accomplice with George and Dick vs. The United States Of America
If the new president were willing to examine the past president with a view to the prosecution of crime and punishment there would need to be a whole section of the Justice Department given over to this task The Justice Dept. will no longer be run by toadies like speedy Gonzales or federalist judges Michael Mukasey But by a person of principal who can probably uphold his oath of allegiance and administer the laws of the land.
